It’s easy to become a spectator as an outfielder because the ball is not always hit your way. It is very important, however, to stay engaged and understand that you need to be doing something on every play, regardless of where the ball is hit. Anticipate that a throw could be made in any given direction. With that being the case, you should always be hustling to back up the base closest to you or your fellow outfielders when the ball is hit. Pay attention and become a student of the game.
Stay active and keep moving on every play.
