Soccer Drills: Juggling a Tennis Ball

If you are looking for an advanced drill to help improve your foot skills, try to keep this smaller ball in the air.

Juggling is a foundational skill every soccer player can practice to help improve their game and help train their feet to become more familiar with the ball. But it can be tricky.

Juggling isn’t a skill that is mastered overnight, so you’ll need to put in a lot of work to get better at it. If you’re looking for a good way to help your juggling skills advance to the next level, try it with a tennis ball. Using the smaller ball can help your foot skills improve.

Start with just your dominant foot. Then, after you get the hang of that, try juggling the ball with your weaker foot. As you get more comfortable, alternate the tennis ball between your left and right foot.

This is a great drill to run through on your own whenever you have some extra time around the house. Putting in the extra work can help you get ready for the next big game.

A good way to keep track of your progress with this and other soccer skills is jotting it down in a journal. Challenging yourself every time you try juggling can also help you get better.

The more time you put in with the tennis ball, the better you can get with a regular soccer ball. So, grab a tennis ball and get to work.
