Whether you’re a softball coach or a pitcher, it’s important to know the basics of fielding the position. Softball legend Jennie Finch explains that a pitcher must be in a firm position, rather than falling left or right after a pitch. As soon as your front foot lands, you must become a fielder. This is imperative to not only protect yourself, but to help make that critical play.
